In terms of Drake, the author is referring to Drake’s first album Thank Me Later album released in 2010. For example, you mentioned how if drake had released his album 2~3 weeks in advance, it would have sold much better. However, he was planning on releasing it a bit earlier 9on his birthday) but 3 samples he wanted to use wasnt cleared so he had to push it back.
